Field of business

Traficon's field of business is transport planning including - in addition to it's traditional definition - smart card systems, road pricing, traffic management and system architecture.

Special competence

Particular competence Traficon has in traffic management, control and telematics. On these areas we are one of the leading consultants in Finland.

EU research programmes

Traficon has taken part in many EU's transport related research projects already since early 90's. In some years these projects have comprised almost half of the annual turnover.

One of our most noticeable strengths is a comprehensive network of experts in Finland as well as abroad. We can form a tailor-made consortium to best fulfil the customer's needs.

Board and ownership

The main owners Kristian Appel, Jari Oinas and Tomi Ristola form the board of Traficon Ltd. Mr Kristian Appel has acted as CEO from the very beginning of Traficon's history. In addition to the board the other partners - outside ownership is nill - are all in key positions in Traficon Ltd.
